Salem is a titling face inspired by the signage above the chapel where Leeds United was founded in 1919. The typeface explores the juxtaposition of craft and labour within the culture and heritage of the city and its relationship to its football team. It was also formed by the industrial type found in the Holbeck suburb of Leeds with hard angular shapes being constant throughout the letterforms. Currently a variable version is being worked on.
